In 2007, the Rochester Franciscan Life Team of the
Rochester Area (RFLT-RA) developed and implemented a
process for Orientation of Interested Persons which is
being used by the RFLTs of all the areas. With the help
of many other persons they have trained new contact
Sisters and started Interested Persons' on their journeys
toward Cojourning or Vowed Life.

Special gatherings are planned such as the picnic in
August at Canticle Park and the Thanksgiving Service on
the Sunday before Thanksgiving at Assisi Heights.

One of the most gratifying experiences for the team is
to walk with these Interested Persons on their faith
journey. Each person’s journeys is unique and varies as
he or she moves from one stage to another. We, all
Rochester Franciscans, are called to be there for them
in our prayers, kind words and actions and in offering them
our friendship as we support each other on our
Franciscan journey.
