Who We Are: Franciscans International - Earth Cluster is located at Assisi Heights and part of the ministry of the world-wide Franciscan Family. The international organization, Franciscans International (FI), is a nongovernmental organization (NGO) affiliated with the United Nations, which was designed to develop dialogue with world leaders on the care of creation, peacemaking, and concern for the poor.

Our local Franciscans International group, started in 1994, has grown to include active and praying members. Supported by the Congregational Leadership, all of the Community participates. Currently, about 15-20 members meet monthly, pray together, and discuss our participation in justice and peace issues and actions. The meetings are open. An active file and bulletin board are maintained.

What We Do: Regular meetings are held in the Walters Conference Room, from 12:15-1:15 p.m., on the third Tuesday of the month, to bring to life locally the goals of FI -- working for peace, care of the earth, and concern for the poor. The agenda often includes specific actions initiated by The Franciscan Action Network (FAN), which maintains an internet presence internationally. Facilitator and Recorder responsibilities are rotated monthly.
